4 reasons why I am somewhat positive on metals:

1. Y2K is still there as an unknown factor ready to possibly spook investors into PM's.

2. Should Y2K turn out to be a non-issue, there will be a massive move up in the stock markets as the relieved look ahead to clear sailing. This kind of prosperity can't help but pull mining concerns with it. If we're going to grow, we need the metal to do it with.

3. Oil is rather high right now. Some series of disasters, wars, or Y2K bug disruptions in supply could send oil to new highs and pull gold along for the ride.

4. Even going as we are, metals are being used faster than being mined and mines are closing while demand is rising.
