Wow, what a day. Unexpected item was the Fed raising the Discount rate. To many, this is bearish for the Market as it sends the message that the Fed will be aggressive towards dealing with potential inflation and raising rates.

Essentially, today's move by the Fed was a draw between the Bulls and the Bears. I think the reality will set in, however, that the FED will have a hard time raising rates again this year as we start to deal with the Y2K concept. IMHO, I don't see another one coming, and the bulls will take this Market higher.
