Hi; I'm new to this thread. I came here in search of assistance in evaluating some new technology that has emerged from a Canadian company, Wi-LAN (WIN on the Alberta exchange). I'm going to save a thousand words, and paste some links that will explain why I am asking some of the knowledgeable posters on this thread (just spent the weekend going thru the previous posts). My own take on this is that this technology offers the ability to obtain wireless rates of approx. 22 Mbps in this incarnation, and about 100 Mbps in the next stage of development, in the 2.4 GHz band (and others). There is some question as to whether this alternative will be as viable in the US, but it definitely appears to have advantages in emerging countries and remote areas. Anyway, to the links:

I would appreciate any comments or (especially) any negatives apparent to the readers of this thread, regarding this technology. So. if you see something doubtful, let 'er rip. While I have made a significant commitment to this stock, I'm ahead, and can escape. My own view is that the technology shows real promise...but, I'm looking for a downside. I will also be posting this on The Last Mile thread, where there are also some astute wireless investors.

Thanks for your input. If no real negatives can be found, then perhaps this stock will be of interest to some of you.
