Yes the web site will be developed on site. There are at least 6 tech people on board with an administrator on the way. ActiveAssets would be described as a vertical marketplace. Their focus is on business to business online auctions where up to now has been a critical inefficiency in distribution and sales. They are using the marketplace as a strategy to bring buyers and sellers together.

Businesses to business auctions are growing and may eventually prove to be a bigger phenomenon than consumer oriented auctions. In this model, companies sell surplus inventory, commodities or equipment, generally inviting only dealers or pre-screened partners to bid. In Canaccord's Junior Internet Review they state "In the near term we expect to see significant interest in Internet e-commerce business to business models". It does sound interesting doesn't it.
