Jean...I'll answer both at once.

RE: Talking about Dell....you do realize that the kind of thinking you've presented is clearly outside the box. I bet there are more than a few here who sat up and took notice.

So take it a step further. If Dell is no long a boxmaker but an eCommerce outfit, what's their next move? Are there other hi-tech segments where their model could be applied as well as with PC's? Are there non-hi-tech segments that could be appropriate? Have you spoken with Michael about this yet, and if not, do you plan to do so? (PS, were I you, I certainly would drop him an eMail.)

The LEAPS book I bought is called LEAPS by Harrison Roth. Someone else (on G&K) recommended it to me, but I gotta tell you, reader though I am, texts on this subject make my mind glaze over, this one was no different. I can't stay with them for more than five or six minutes...

Jean,

I don't know if your post has been responded to yet because I'm still about 100 posts behind, but a Dellhead by the name of edamo is the best leap/option player I've seen on SI. His posts are usually long, and a bit cumbersome sometimes because he doesn't take time to define his terminology, but I have yet to find anyone who responds to options questions in such a direct manner. He has been very successful with LEAPS as well. I will cross post your question to him via PM and see if he will respond on this thread.
