well, the bears definitely can celebrate a major victory today: Dow closes down about 15 points! a mini crash of sorts....

Greenie may have to hike rates sooner than you think. His main
concern has always been the bond market. With the dollar falling to
111.09 today against the yen, it nears the key support level of
110.65. Should it be breached, then the bond tanks as the Japanese
reduce their bond holdings before their dollar/yen conversion evaporates. Japan holds thirty per cent of US treasuries, as they save and we don't. Spammie is between a rock and a hard place as he
was last year when LTCM almost pricked this bubble. However, this time it's not so easy. Raise again and this well earned 50% retracement of this highly overpriced market will start on cue.
