Maybe I should have taken the time to explain why I think HOMS is a gorilla. Let me now do so, and if we are still in disagreement, I will be rewarded with new understanding and heed to your expertise on the matter.

"GORILLA A company that controls it market because it has a discontinuous innovation ,one that is not compatible with existing systems. The market is in a hyper growth stage, and they control the architecture. There is a high switching cost to using some other company's product"

Perhaps this gives them an sca:

Tom Taulli, an analyst at Edgar Online, said HomeStore may be a good long-term investment because of its exclusive operating agreements with the National Association of Realtors.

''They have a lock on (that relationship) so it's hard for anyone else to compete,'' he said. ''Housing is a big part of GNP and being a first mover in the area could be very hot.''

REALTOR.com contains listings for over 1.37 million of the approximately
1.47 million homes that we estimate are listed nationally for sale as of
June 30, 1999

I fail to see how this company does not meet the definition stated above. They seem to have a near monopoloy on real estate listings on the web, which last I heard is in a hyper-growth phase.
