How will AOL-UK hold up against "the home town boys" who 1st. offered the UK and the World "Free Internet" ?

I haven't researched x-stream but I am familiar with the name. As I understand the free ISP market in the UK price, content and eyeballs are what this simple game is all about. Bandwidth is another looming issue in the UK. Only AOL has that. (Hughes)

An advertiser in the UK can access AOL's near 20 million customers which is why I believe that AOL announced they already have more ad dollars signed up for their free UK release then the leader in that country has been able to muster with its 1 million subscriber base.

I have no idea what x-stream's subscriber base is or it's ad revenues but it seems AOL has taken the lead in the revenue department ahead of everyone and done this before their new product is launched. I also believe revenue is what improves shareholder value.

It all leads back to the size of your customer base and how much cash you have in the bank and of course your content quality.

I think AOL will not only hold up there but take the lead in very few quarters, maybe even a few months.

IMO
