JGoren: QCOM can call an emergency shareholder meeting or proxy at any time to increase available shares to make room for a stock split. As I have expressed on the other thread, the longer it takes the better as the float is getting very thin.

Although stock splits do not mean much (in theory), they are an important indication of EPS momentum. I disagree with your comment that splits do not matter. When you go back and look at gorilla stocks like CSCO, MSFT, and DELL - they all share 1 important attribute. Each has a long history of stock splits.
