While I agree with a certain part of your thesis, I disagree with your statement that there is a huge asset bubble in the US economy. Granted this dot com mania is a little whacky but think about the tremendous efficiencies that internet technology is going to bring to the US economy. Look at companies like ITWO and HLTH, they can bring tremendous efficiencies in our archaic paper based economy. Extend this world-wide and you can see why there is tremendous room for improving efficiency. This future cash-flow is what is being discounted to get the NPV of these stocks.
