It sounds like you had a variation on the monovision theme done with your 2 procedures. If you are having too much near blur it is possible that the doctor did not leave you quite enough nearsighted in the left eye. It has been my experience that RK is somewhat imprecise especially compared to the new laser procedures.

When I fit contacts on patients with bifocals I always mention that the best vision obtainable would be to correct both eyes to 20/20 and use reading glasses over them. If this is not acceptable then we go on to other options like monovision and possibly the bifocal contacts, although the jury is still out on those IMHO.

You might consider having a touchup done on your left eye and use reading glasses. You need to discuss these options with your doctor.
