(I presume you know that "unsolicited" means "not asked for", and has no particularly deragatory(sic) meaning.)

Not only did I know that, I wondered why you proffered one.

Major rule for investing: I shouldn't have to know anything about management other than their history of performance.

This should actually read: "your major rule for investing..." I don't agree. Knowledge has value and more knowledge....more value. I was not suggesting that you get to know Gary. It is of little import to me one way or another. However, to know Gary assures one that there is no hype... that he is all business. Since this is the first company he has run (directed a division of Nabisco in previous life) you would not be afforded any history of management performance. Thus far he has picked Gumm up from the ashes left by the departed management and acquitted himself well.

Despite the great fortune that you may currently enjoy, whether it be good genes or venue, there is plenty of demand for avoiding or limiting the duration of a cold. If nothing VPHM has certainly demonstrated that.

In the final analysis it matters not what you or I believe. Furthermore, I am not asking you to respond to this post. You are correct when you suggest it will be the marketplace which determines the success or failure of this product and lets leave it at that.
