Athlon CPU's available in quantity at thechipmerchant.com. Prices are
MHz Boxed OEM
----- ------ ------
500 $287 $273
550 496 482
600 676 661

The thread has often used their availability and pricing to
indicate whether product is really available, since they
update their price page daily and only advertise products
that are in stock each day. For example, PIII-600's have
popped on and off the list recently.

I asked about Slot A motherboards -- they expect Microstar
first probably Monday, FIC and Asus later.

I've also pretty much concluded that discounting their
prices by 25% gives a good estimate of the ASP that AMD is
receiving. (The lowest price on pricewatch -15% is also
pretty accurate.) If we assume a pessimistic 40/35/20/5
speed distribution for Athlon, assume a retail price of
$800 for the 650 we get an Athlon ASP of $338.
