while many are skeptical of the japanese economic recovery, i for one feel it will be genuine...granted many of the previous rallies over the past decade have fizzled, the current environment in japan IMO is different this time...the government has infused money into the banks on the condition they restructure and overhaul disclosure standards...this will create an environment closer to the US corporate environment...major corp's are now firing employees and cutting back costs...profitability and shareholder value take precedence now...inefficiencies are being weeded out...for instance, Sony Corp. has cut $2B worth of inventory and has also reduced its labor force significantly...when japans recovery becomes legitimized later next year, softbank will explode both in japan and in the US...the inet revolution is just starting to warm up in japan...softbank is making more alliances than anyone else i can think of and this interweaving strategy will allow softbank to "mesh" with every aspect of the new communication based global economy...btw, since i just bought more 9984 today(hope im done for many yrs now), thought i'd throw in a humble opinion or two.
