*OT* I went from 64 MB to 256 MB, with a 166 MHz Pentium MMX. The manual that came with the motherboard said that I could install two 128 MB SDRAMs. I told this to the sales lady at Frys and she asked what my bus speed was (66 MHZ), and she knew from that what type I needed. I got the name brand variety, which costs $139 per DIMM and comes with a lifetime warranty. I installed it myself, using a grounded wrist strap. It probably helped that I'm an EE.

OT**G, On what sounds to be a potential memory upgrade question: I have had great success with our friends over at Micron. Their site is crucial.com and it is really pretty user-friendly. Prices are good, not the rock bottom ... but, you get high quality product, shipped promptly ... with service if you need it. I am a big memory upgrade proponent. I have recently even upgraded my HP4000TN ... with marked improvements in performance. --Duker

Gottfried and threaders, DW's three leading indicators (10week, high/lows and option bull percentage) all have reversed at the close of the day, Tuesday, Aug. 24. This is a short rally indication and as Tom Dorsey would, "We never know when a short time rally will turn into a long time rally." The OTC bull percentage also has reversed up however the BPNYSE has not done so. I sold some more AMAT today and bought some more LU at a lower price than what I sold AMAT. It had just broken a triple top and Tom Dorsey had just recommended it on C-NBC. I still have AMAT on the short term but like the internet play of CSCO and LU. However, I still plan to hold on to AMAT for the time being. The DW Bull Percentages will give you some guidelines as to how the market, leading indicators and sectors are going. Naturally, the above is only my opinions and the data which I have reviewed from the Dorsey Wright site, IBD and SEMI sites.
