You asked:"What makes you think Gold will fare any better?"

Because AMAZON AND YAHOO JUST DON'T GET IT! That's why....Gold's has done an admirable job of "emulating" the best of Ebay's features, added several of their own, and backed it up with APPRECIATION OF CUSTOMERS.

Amazon and Yahoo are a joke IMHO, one is an afterthought from a bookseller, and the other is an afterthought from a chat/"portal" site. (hey, whatever, they're still freaking search engines in my book)

Gold's has wisely chosen to give a certain "feel" that is very much reminiscent of Ebrat. Edeal even more so, but they are not even in the running apparently. (but who knows?)

How to sum it up....Amazon and Yahoo SUCK! I don't care how deep their pockets are, they do not represent the best in the mechanics of how an online auction should work. Gold's is pretty damn close, they did their homework. Nice little touches such as being able to add a personalized message that is sent to the winning bidder. I can't quantify it, and I am not a "power seller", but I have been hanging out with a lot of "power sellers" in the last week, and I can tell you that my words echo many of theirs.....too bad Ebay isn't interested in what their customers think. I could probably give them enough insight to help them get back on track!

Pierre???? Are you listening? You can look me up in the database anytime, give me a call, and for a "nominal" fee I will help you to see past your mountain of stock!
