Bill, I did not know you keep track of such comments. I hope you got your options strategies worked out. I certainly don't at this point.
The spin off possibilities might add a lot of support to this stock in the event of general market selloffs. The other events are significant like hiring that guy (forget his name) but this is the best signal to investors not sell this stock.

Maybe we should just stick to leaps and still make a killing on it.
Nah!! I might do both short and long term calls when the time is right in this market---now looking at early October but that could change.

I am still cautious of market selloffs but i am going to take any opportunity to buy MSFT and reduce other holdings as a defense against such a decline.

BTW--It appear the spinning off of divisions has replaced the tracking stock idea. See the Motley Fool article posted by Teflon a little earlier.
