- tech200 - you raise some valid points, but the bottom line is that MSFT is #1 in so many areas; that if they really wanted to; they could seriously hurt AOL; YHOO; and some of the other leaders.

Right on, t2k. btw, I will get back to you on GMST in the near term. I'm just trying to plow through some PMs and messages right now.

One last point regarding your post...you make a great point. As we have discussed a few times before, MSFT probably is trying to paint a picture of "the wounded soldier" for the DOJ and Jackson in hopes of putting a little pressure on the case. Oh yea, we also had the options grant at the end of July as well, so there were probably many factors that led to MSFT severely talking down this stock in recent times. The good news, however, is that this should be a one time only type event (lets hope!!!) and at some point MSFT should start to talk back up MSFT's prospects as we turn to face the y2k bug at the end of the year.
