Got a broker recommendation (ML) yesterday. Looked it over and bought in - much to my surprise - am now a share holder.

ML's comment is that the perception of T is in transition and that it is not being looked at more as a tech stock - thus will receive a higher PE. I wonder? But I'm in for a small amount to start with.

Best Wishes.

Jim

Great buy now. T will certainly fight back against the Market's dissing them. They must or else they will have to pay billions more for their cable purchases. Whomever buys in the 40's will be well rewarded. T may not move like an internet stock (which it is) but it will bounce off bottom of 45-46 and steadily climb to 100, especially as AT-HOME unfolds and AOL and Co. have to settle for an expensive compromise. Afterall, the US government is not going to nix ATT's cable deals. ATT practially is the US government when it comes to building the next pipe. But some sort of compromise will take place eventually and then T will soar even more.
