Dale,

It is my understanding that the NEJM notifies authors of their disposition of an article prior to publication. If true, then Drs. Davidson and Hensley at Gel Tech will know if the article has been accepted before it is printed. GumTech would have control over when this information is released to the public, and like most companies, they normally release news outside normal trading hours. If the NEJM accepts the article and GumTech releases the news while the market is closed, I would expect the stock to gap significantly higher the next trading day. Is this your idea of getting out of the way? While this is predicated on the article being accepted, short sellers in GUMM have a great deal of risk. Longs have risk as well, and I have acknowledged it. Any predictions on where the stock might open if the article is accepted and the news released after hours? My guess is greater than 14 with a reasonably good chance of greater than 16.

>he is a big boy and we should let him take care of himself

Should we dismiss the jerk that easily?

I don't think it is unreasonable to expect someone to provide at least a minimal amount of support for their outrageous assertions.
