<<I don't know if its arbits doing their thing with the spread between USW and Qwest>>

this argument makes less sense since both stocks are falling. If
they went long on USW and short on QWST the data doesn't support this.

What seems to make more sense is "telecom Apathy" rooted in a cost of money argument. The cost to construct plant is intense. A first order expense is the cost of money for servicing this debt. Interest rate uncertainty due to inflation fears although possibly overblow, has damaged all the CLECs as a sector. Look at the data, many of the leveraged facilities based CLECs: LVLT, GBLX, MFNX, IIXC, QWST, ELIX, GSTX are down significantly since the rate uncertainty started back in the spring.

Does anyone know why yahoo shows a pe of 83 for QWST. Is this correct? This seems like an amazingly good number since most of these companies are looking for positive EBITA.
