Something to read while we wait for the Japanese news conference:

"The company said production costs for a 2,300-Gbyte credit-card-sized memory will be less than $50". "Theoretically, such systems could be on sale within two years, the company said."

At 6 letters per word, 200 words on a page, and 250 pages per book, that's 7 MILLION books (or 3 MILLION CDs) on one credit card. If it's true, I can hear the TV ads now -- "Yes ... every song and every book ever written ... on one little card ... just three easy payments of $39.95 ... Send your money now!"
