Francis Fukuyama is a nitwit, the Prussian State was a precursor of our abhorrent modern state, and all Hegel is good for is saying "Go to Hegel!" to someone. Please don't lump Northern European barbarians in with the civilized Latins. Obviously, Gustave, monarchy will not be restored anytime soon, but to stand up for it sets one's face against the prevailing culture, and perhaps if we're lucky we can hold up progress for a little while. What is wrong with being counter-cultural? I thought it was the hip thing to do. Regards, Charles
