If,

Thanks for the post regarding GRIN. I was trying to be ironic when I said they were a "second-tier" Pokeman play. Sort of a reference to internet mania.

Anyway, regarding TOPP, the Pokemon trading cards hit the market this week. People have been pre-selling them on EBAY for a couple weeks.

Here's the PR from TOPPs

biz.yahoo.com

They have the exclusive rights "to market 'Pokemon' trading cards in US and Canada, and lollipops in North and South America. "

"The Company also announced today that it has signed a license agreement to market ``Pokemon'
sticker and album collections, trading cards, lollipops and temporary tattoos in Europe, Australia
and New Zealand."

If I were to categorize companies as "first" and "second" tier Pokemon beneficiaries, I would say Nintendo and 4Kids are hands down first tier. And Topps will be the second biggest beneficiary. I'm just basing this on what I've seen sell.

I can't find the "Wizards of the Coast" role playing cards, but the ailse are full of Pokemon toys, stationery and other items.

I would never second guess GRIN at this moment. I just think that their bottom line will not benefit as much from their Pokemon items as will TOPP's or obviously KIDE's
