CJ: I've always thought that all of DELL's ads were pretty bad (remember that stupid mouse and maze and the one on the racetrack with that weird music?), but I admit the relatively new one they have with that redheaded college girl is pretty good. CPQ ads are even worse than DELL's. All that "what will it take ..." stuff sounds like they're talking about Compaq instead of the companies they're pitching to. <ggg> Gateway still has the best ads, IMO. I don't know where IBD has been - I haven't seen Ted in a GTW ad in a long time. GTW is smart enough to realize that having your brand associated with a particular piece of music (especially one that was popular with the person who's going to fork over the bucks) goes a long way in generating brand recognition. Of course, maybe it's just that I like the Who. If I had Sprint, for example, I'd probably change my long distance carrier. <ggg>

DELL now double CPQ. Anyone else feel stupid for buying and holding this hog? El
