MGI Software to Hold Q2 Conference Call

TORONTO, Ont.--August 26, 1999--MGI Software Corp. (TSE:MGI) today announced

that it will hold a telephone conference for analysts and investors on
Monday,
August 30th at 5:00 pm Eastern following the company's release of its second

quarter operating results for the period ending July 31, 1999.
