I don't doubt CNBC's announcers are smart and savvy, but to expect them to know each company on the NYSE, Nasdaq, TSE, American, etc., etc., is ludicrous in the extreme.

By the time NN is a household word on CNBC, it'll be 100 a share. When that happens, they'll all be experts overnight.

larry, it would be impossible to underestimate the capabilities of many of these on air teleprompter readers.

But if you wish to make them your hero / heroines, be my guest.

And with respect to the specific incident cited [and sighted] in this thread, the teleprompter reader was barely capable of doing that.
