But the question remains - if it's pronounced authentically, there is no break. Sometimes this becomes multiple syllables (Hawaiian or Finnish comes to mind). In fact, rather than syllables, maybe "mesotics" is a better term? What's the syllabic status of something sounded out into its mesotic components? Inquahrin mahnds wunna know...
