Bridgestone/Firestone DEP, and Insurance Auto Auctions DEP Have
Approved Purchase of Microphonics Model A07 Automotive Diagnostic
System by their Service Centers and Repair Outlets
NASHVILLE, Tenn., Aug. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Microphonics (OTC Bulletin Board: MRPS
- news; microphonics.com) announced today that it has gained approval to sell
its Model A07 Automotive Diagnostic System to the automotive service centers of Mobil Oil
Co., Michelin Dealer Equipment and Services, Bridgestone/Firestone Dealer Equipment
Program, and the Insurance Auto Auctions Dealer Equipment Program.
The Microphonics Model A07 Automotive Diagnostic System has been certified by Dealer
Equipment Services, a division of SPX Corp. (NYSE: SPW - news) to meet the above
companies' specifications as an approved diagnostic tool for use by its US service centers in
repairs that involve noise or vibration problems, water or vacuum leak detection, tire
integrity, as well as other problem areas. Starting in the fourth quarter of 1999, these
companies will be communicating this recommendation in both their equipment catalogs and
by means of quarterly promotions. Microphonics believes these recommended catalog
listings will heighten awareness at the local service center level and potentially speed up the
sales cycle. Taken together these companies own hundreds of service centers/repair sites in
the United States.
Dealer Equipment Services, a leader in the distribution of automobile dealership specialty
tools and diagnostic equipment, will be the distributor and sales agent to these companies.
With these approvals plus the past approvals already announced, the Microphonics model
A07 is now a priority for sales and promotion by the more than twenty-five DES field sales
personnel throughout the United States who sell to these service centers and/or dealerships.
