Paul, RE: Great- that "potential" downgrade corresponds to your one year anniversary on this board, telling us how BRILLIANT Kurlak WAS when he DOWNGRADED Intel this time last year - when Intel was poised to MORE THAN DOUBLE its stock price - which it has done since that time. No. What I did was state that Kurlak historically had a very good record at outperforming the market when it came to predicting Intel's performance. I backed up that assertion with facts. I have never described Kurlak as 'brilliant,' and have repeatedly stated that his knowledge of the semiconductor industry is surpassed by many analysts as well as many people on this board. Now if Intel goes down, you can PRAISE EDELSTONE as being so clairvoyant - something I seem to think you NEGLECTED to do when Edelstone CORRECTLY predicted Intel's stunning price increases. I have continually commended Edelstone for upgrading Intel pretty close to the bottom of the cycle. If you read my post (and I'm not sure that you did), you would have noted that I noted that Edelstone's most recent downgrade was just before a 30% up move. I didn't condemn Edelstone for that. What makes you think I would praise him for being so clairvoyant if he happens to be right this time? And suddenly here you are PARAPHRASING your interpretation of an Edelstone DOWNGRADE. I was providing information that I thought the thread might find valuable. It is certainly information that you do not appear to have. Given that this board has found Edelstone's opinion valuable in the past, I passed it on.Hope you enjoy the DOWNGRADES - you are always so superb in analyzing Intel's business and its stock performance. As I have repeatedly stated, an analyst's opinion is irrelevant to a stock's price performance, particularly Intel's. Other participants on this board enjoy it much more than I do, and given that I have information sources that are better than most in regards to the analysts, many of my posts seem concentrated in that area. As far as my ability in analyzing Intel's business, thanks for the compliment. I am unsure, however, how you have any idea as to my predictive ability of Intel's stock performance, but thanks for the compliment anyway. By the way, Paul, have you ever gotten around to firing that broker that charges you interest on your short sales?
