Every German In Vests: AOL Europe went all-you-can-eat by
offering Internet service in Germany for 9.90 deutsche marks
(about $5.30) a month, lower than the 19.95 marks the German
media expected it would charge. AOL Europe is a joint venture
between America Online (AOL) and Bertelsmann. Earlier this
week, the venture launched a free ISP in Britain called Netscape
Online.

Back in the States, the Gap bought a spot on AOL's shopping
sites. The three-year deal includes perks for Gap (GPS: -2 1/8,
40 7/16) brands Banana Republic and Old Navy.
