<Price on Webster> Does it really matter? We know, certainly, it will be well-below $ 849 price of Dimension...but certainly above the lowest of the low players in the space...

Problem is (for E-machines, other "el-cheapos") that the Big Boys are moving down much faster (but, importantly, while also figuring out how to make a decent profit....with Intel's cooperation) then E-machines has been able to move UP the food chain (into corporate or small business, or high/medium consumer). So far, E-machines has only shown that they can sell a lot of a (relatively) unprofitable boxes...and the space is getting more competitive....relying on this one segment will not keep them in business long, IMO...

They have shown no propensity (ability) to move away (expand) from this market segment...

Given development of the past few months (Dell adding ISP, Dell developing Webster, profitable $ 849 model....E-machines increasing volumes, but getting sued on designs, service, ISP...)...I think the competitive landscape is becoming pretty clear here...Pardon the pun, but E-machines appears boxed in.....

E-machines (& Microwerz) are likely going to become the Yugos of the PC world...even their (former) currency advantage is starting to work against them....They may do well/survive thru the Christmas buying rush, but next year, IMO, is going to be really tough for them....
