I've had that happen - on the sell side. I sold about a point above the best ask, and the trade was so absurd that quote.com filtered it out. It wasn't the high for the day, or it might have been added beck in (I immediately bought that stock back at best ask, and sold it again later in the day at an additional profit. Weird, huh?

Yet another reason to NEVER use market orders...
