Mike; The larger caps handel or "push" the index..I used that for a while but it don't really lead. The relationship of the index is so direct to the top caps in it that I wanted something to show me the sentiment. So I started looking at which ones trade the most volume X price..and what they were doing. The most popular dollar traded ones are not always the top market cap ones , hence they don't push as much as they pull. Jim
