To all parties quarreling and otherwise: Now for something completely different: an interesting Berst Alert. zdnet.com You can tell from this ZD net article why I hang out on this thread and write a lot of meaningless posts. It proves that if you don't know anything about anything, but you can write a lot of meaningless stuff every single day, you can get a glamorous, high-paying job as the editor of a new-media magazine. That's what I'm practicing up for here. Since journalists thrive on controversy, and since no one could misapprehend what Sun could do with Star Division so utterly that they would write a whole column and not even mention what the acquisition is really all about, I have to conclude that Jesse Berst just ran out of subjects and wrote this out of desperation.
