Come on. Be serious. The "big" correction we just experienced was 11.1% on the $NDX. That's all. Last summer's drop was 28.4%! To compare this rally with the one resulting from severely oversold market conditions and augmented by three successive Fed moves to ease, is a reach.

Don't get me wrong, statistical analysis is not intended to be an end all-- as they say in the business, "past performance is no indication of future results", however the insurance industry has made trillions of dollars by making relatively small bets only when the odds were statistically (actuarily) in their favor.

I'll have to stay short in the near term. I agree wholeheartedly that we are headed up in the general direction (week charts moving averages), however, we have to let off a little steam, IMHO.
