Very interesting:

There is no question that POKEMON is driving GRIN, however I've always believed that being the Canadian Furby distributor wasn't chopped liver, and this is further proof.

The makers of Furby did not fall out of a hay truck. The huge success of Ty's Beanie Babies came from the brilliant idea of RETIRING them, thus creating added value and a huge, loyal customer base. This business model greatly extends the cycle of the toy. The Canadian Furby that speaks French will no doubt become a US collectible.

Gotta Catch 'em All
