Since you worked at GE, you know anything about this? Your memory might be failing too so dont worry if you havent heard about it.

Sage/Ameridata/GE Connections, Sage (not to be confused with the software company) bought about 6 companies before they bought Ameridata in 95(?). They then changed their name to Ameridata. The current co-Chairman Len Fassler was the co-Chairman of Sage, subsequently co-Chairman of Ameridata. Mr. Fassler was from the big run up on Tie(?) Communications.

Well, as it turns out, GE was a 10% shareholder all along in the Ameridata roll up. They did 40 deals in 40 months, building a 2 billion dollar empire, that GE finally purchased.

Well, 10 companies into the roll ups, they bought Feld Technologies, Brad's technology consulting (vs. Systems Integration like Ameridata) company. Brad became/was really connected with Mr. Fassler, and all the other board members of Ameridata. He quickly positioned himself out of the consulting management, and became the Cheif Technology Officer of Ameridata. He directed consulting acquistions like David Mitchell Associates, which become the leadership of Ameridata Consulting, which become GE Capital Consulting, which was sold to Metamore (?) earlier this year.

I do not believe the cultural ties to GE remain, though the experience makes a big difference for all involved.
