Depends if they are balanced and include heavy aerobics along with their bodybuilding. The only guys I know of who spend a lot of time in front of mirrors at the gym are those preparing for a competition.

I agree about bodybuilders vs. athletes. A bulked-up physique doesn't appeal to me. I used to work out a lot, and buy body-builder magazines, and the guys always looked pretty silly to me, although you could tell by looking at their expressions that they thought they were hot stuff. Once in a while there would be an article on natural bodybuilders, no steroids, and those guys were hunks. Like Greek statues.

Everyone knows that bodybuilders use steroids. I can't remember the name of the book, but there was an interesting book a few years ago by an intelligent guy who got into body-building, and went for a contest or two. His tales of 'roid rage, getting breasts from steroids, taking pills to induce vomiting, laxatives and enemas to lower weight, etc., is clear proof that he was far from an athlete, in fact, on the day of the contest he could hardly stand up without blacking out.

Going just by looks, swimmers have divine bodies. But I don't really care if a guy is a competitive athlete, the glow of health is what appeals to me. Aerobic health makes for all over health.
