Santiago,

You said Dan, but I think you meant Don? DLL is Don,DCF is dan.

Anyway, you said Dan, Don't you see that observing Mosiac customs by the Jewish believer is still not practicing Christianity under the free grace of God.

5 years ago I would have said yes. Now, I wouldn't. Because of our culture differences, I am in no position to tell a Christian from the middle east that he could not practice any "custom" any more than he could tell me the same, cause of my western heritage. MAYBE it is a lot in how we define "customs" . Example:: I can read in scripture
where when Paul went into a town, the FIRST place he went was to the temple, as was his custom.(Acts 17: 1-2)

There are I am sure differences in how we perceive "custom" and "law- following", or rejection of Jesus as the Messiah. James had an interesting take on this::
James 4:11-12 Brothers do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you--who are you to judge your neighbor?

And Paul again says:

Romans 14: 5-8 One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. He who regards one day as special, does so to the Lord. He who eats meat, eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains, does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God. For none of us lives to himself alone and none of us dies to himself alone. If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

So while I am interested in why and how someone follows certain customs, to say it is wrong needs not be my place, as far as it concerns being followers of the Way.

((And for me especially hard to practice what I write))
