Awwww. to live in Hawaii! First, I'd suggest you not trade at all without a full deck on your keyboard <ggg>..and as SF always tells me "go small", only 100 shares of something...watch it like a hawk if you're daytrading and set stops/sell orders for position trading .. ..novices should probably stay away from margin -- it's a sure way to get caught during inevitable downdrafts.. ...electronic brokers make mistakes (sometimes in your favour, sometimes not)..but in the end you're responsbible and the last thing you want is for them to control the required sellling to cover shortages... ...If you're a Gemmer, good training materials are currently being developed.. ..be careful out there -- it's a jungle! Above all, good luck and read, study, watch!
