This is a very timely piece considering Alan Greenspan's Jackson Hole's comments. "Clearly, there is a mountain of "employee" stock that will pose an "overhang" problem on the marketplace, particularly after the stock market bubble is pierced and there is a mad scramble towards wealth protection. Today, however, there is another issue that we think is critically important but garners little attention. Basically, our overheated financial sector is virtually running out of control in "monetizing" asset inflation, and this is covertly playing a most important role in perpetuating our financial and economic bubble. And while this has been going on for some time, we believe it is much more prevalent today and the degree of this monetization is at the heart of very dangerous imbalances that continue to weaken the underpinnings of our financial system and economy."
