Maurice:

It appears you had a nice vent...done yet? Hope you feel better!

I too expected a little more pop in the stock as we approached the service Launch month, but then again, I didn't predict the speed of Iridium's demise. (Note - I didn't predict the "speed", not the demise). Regardless, we have waited years for this threshold to be beneath us, and though nerves are agitated, you have to admit, it is pretty exciting. When you get jittery, try to remember the ups and downs and emotional roller coaster that our beloved QCOM out us through. They too we notorious for not releasing information, and allowing completely false published statements to go unanswered for months. As frustrated as we were though, we used these boards to lift each other's spirits and carry us through those tough "investment" moments.

I agree with your concerns Maurice - all valid, but I believe all will pass. From the GSTRF investment perspective it is not important to exceed expectations (although that would be great!) it is important to meet them. If GSTRF can lower the bar, and meet it, all will be forgiven. If they can come out in December and say that the subscriber counts and MOU's for the areas that are running MEET their expectation, then the investment community will begin to believe in their business model, and the stock will respond. At the end of 1999, the subscriber count will be what it will be - whether 10,000, 40,000 or 100,000. In any case, I think our stock would do best if the expectation was 10,000 rather than 40,000.

There is a market Maurice - and it does exceed the 10,000,000 subs you are looking for. At the end of next year, there will be over 300,000,000 wireless subscribers. I'm willing to bet that over 30% of them bitch and moan about coverage. I believe we'll get 1% to buy this phone.

Good Luck to all, - hang in there Maurice!!!
