Some Bloomberg comments on GDP data: bloomberg.com - I found this excerpt of interest: After-tax corporate profits -- reported today for the first time -- increased 1.7 percent in the second quarter after rising 6.2 percent in the first quarter, as higher energy costs chipped away at earnings, the government said. Profits from current production, which exclude such accounting items as capital gains and special charges, fell 1.1 percent in the second quarter after rising 5.7 percent in the first quarter. - ..and another- GDP growth slowest in a year: biz.yahoo.com
