That seems far too true far too often.

However there are companies such as GE, CSCO, MSFT, INTC, ... where real earnings, and real growth are rewarded handsomely but nowhere near so handsomely as the dream of a Midas touch.

As for multiples, I think having customers and earnings makes you suspect with the market and knocks you
down to sawdust values. In the Internet world having nothing means anything's possible. A whole new
metric. :)
