I'm sure there will always be people taking profits, but the Y2K perceived problems will probably have it's share of chicken littles late in the year.
as more people get hooked up to the internet, ecommerce will grow...
Though the brick and mortar stores will not go away, the saavy consumer will use the internet to compare prices. It is easier, and faster than driving from store to store to compare! Certain items, like clothing, will still be where physical stores will have the advantage...
But who knows, people are going to car dealers to do the test drives and then going on the web to actually order the car! And are bookstores becoming browsing libraries where people then go home and order the books at a lower price?

Im not sure about 5.0.......I'll look in to it a little later and I do agree with your assumptions. If you go download Netscapes latest version and look in the program files you will find they have added some software for handhelds! They call them "palm tools". I just noticed it this morning.
