CKFR Conference - Saturday activities:

Sorry I haven't had much time to post any updates, but the here's the quick scoop for Saturday activities:

I'm working on getting a table for 10-15 people at the Chelsea Brewing Company (at the Chelsea Piers Complex) at 1:00 PM. I figure we can have a nice lunch, drink some beer, and bowl, rollerblade, hit golf balls ride Clydesdales, tractors or whatever (definitely in that order <g>).

Spouses, friends, etc. are HIGHLY encouraged to come and join the merriment (the future Mrs. Zuma will be there with blades in-hand, I've been told). This should leave plenty for folks to be able to make plans, if they want, for theater, a nice dinner, etc., etc.

All cabbies know how to get to Chelsea piers. It's located on the Southwest side of NYC, right on the Hudson River. Pier 62, to be exact, at 23rd Street and the West Side Highway. The phone number for the sports complex is 212-336-6666. The Brewing Company's number is 212-336-6440. Again, here's the link for the Piers:

HEY! Just got a GREAT, inexpensive idea for a late Friday (after Ron's party) or Saturday evening activity....

If anyone's up for it, one of our unofficial thread mascots, Rodney Dangerfield himself, owns a comedy club on First Avenue, between 61st and 62nd Street (not the best comedy club perhaps, but strangely fitting for the thread, I thought).

I just called them -- If folks are interested, they have a show on Friday night at 11:15 pm . On Saturday, they've got shows at 8pm, 10:30pm and 12:30am (city that never sleeps, remember?). Cost is $15-$20 bucks, depending on the show, and there's no minimums for drinks or anything.

Private post me if you think you might be interested (I may go ahead and tentatively reserve a table for 10 or 15 folks, just in case).

Anyway, that's all for now...
