I don't think that's true anymore. Either of them.

I think the blank post pooferator got diabled when folks started to edit their posts to blanks when they missed grubs. Perhaps it's back on.

And the thread count is contiguous from last night. There are only two choices. Have a thread count with gaps or change the thread count when admin wields its sword.

It's in SI interest to keep the post count as high as possible. Sort of like what ebay does with auctions.

I've seen that in the past. I don't think it was blank posts in this instance, though. At least I hadn't seen any, and the editing window had closed on posts 7775 and lower before I made the post 7777.

It's like the disappearings in central america. IMO, this is going to have a chilling effect on free speech.
