Maybe it was in Brazilian reals, not dollars. That would be about $94 million, which still seems steep. As for partners, Jornal Do Brazil backed out. They have no money. The much anticipated partner in Airtouch or Bell South has not surfaced. So, that leaves Loral. G* is probably on the hook for the gateways as of this time. I would love to hear that this release is true. Haven't been able to reach anyone there yet. I want to hear that they have 200 beta handsets in hand, with testing going on as we speak. I would be surprised if I hear that though.
