Hi Andy,

From what I have read PS2 will be out in Japan late this year or early next year, and then by next September/October (2000) in USA.

Haven't seen anything on the Japan launch in awhile......maybe we'll get other comments.

The launch in Japan will be 1/23/00, which has been pushed back slightly from 12/3/99. Please note the numerology. It was never planned to have a rollout in the US earlier, and there are several good reasons to have a later rollout in the US including the reasons noted by Patrick as well as (believe it or not) capacity restraints.
